GFWE Representatives Visit DRC Embassy in China and Meet Ambassador François Balumuene

On April 1, 2024, representatives of GFWE (Global Freight World E-Alliance) visited the DRC Embassy in Beijing. There, they held a friendly meeting with H.E. François Balumuene Nkuna.

He was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the People's Republic of China.

The visit offered an opportunity for friendly exchange on international connectivity and China–Africa business relations. In addition, discussions explored stronger communication between logistics and business communities.

Strengthening China–Africa Connections

Africa plays an important role in global trade and logistics. Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of Central Africa's major markets.

Trade and investment links between China and African markets continue to develop. Consequently, efficient logistics networks and reliable international partnerships are increasingly important for cross-border businesses.

During the meeting, GFWE representatives introduced the alliance's vision for the global freight forwarding community. Specifically, its aim is a more connected, reliable, and efficient community.

To support this vision, GFWE aims to bring freight forwarders and logistics companies together across countries and regions. As a result, members can establish direct connections, find suitable overseas partners, and explore international business opportunities.
